We understand that organising a funeral reception can be an emotional time. Our experienced and  sympathetic team will help you every step of the way to ensure that you have one less thing to worry about.

The Horn of Plenty hotel and restaurant is located on the Devon & Cornwall border, just a couple of miles outside of Tavistock.  Our tranquil country house hotel offers serenity, 5 acres of gardens and stunning views over the Tamar Valley.

We offer a couple of different catering options, detailed below.    Our delicious food is prepared using locally sourced ingredients, and our friendly efficient service is sensitive and unobtrusive.

Funeral Teas

People often like to eat and drink casually while standing and chatting, whilst others prefer to sit and pause for a moment. We can offer the use of our cosy library room for groups of up to 16, and our  restaurant or bar/lounge for larger groups.

Our set menus offer balance and variety helping to make decisions easier when you have other things on your mind. Alternatively we are more than happy to create a bespoke menu or tailor an existing menu around you.  Please just let us know if there is anything special you’d like us to include.
