Due to Government restrictions, Funeral Receptions can currently take place for up to 30 guests. We have been independently audited to ensure we are Covid-19 Safe, Clean & Legal ™ and we have procedures in place to ensure your event is safe and welcoming.

Moor Hall Hotel & Spa in Four Oaks is a delightful four star country house hotel set in parkland. The venue is conveniently located only minutes away from Sutton Coldfield crematorium, Streetly crematorium, Sutton New Hall cemetery and local churches. Moor Hall can cater for funeral receptions, wakes and celebrations of life for up to 250 guests. We offer ample free car parking, a choice of comfortable rooms, reception drinks, delicious buffets and accommodation if required for guests who have travelled to the wake.

Funeral Reception Room Hire

We have a choice of elegant rooms for funeral receptions, wakes or celebrations of life. Some rooms have private bar facilities and all rooms are ground floor which are suitable for small gatherings and for larger receptions - it’s the perfect environment in which to remember the life of a loved one and pay tribute with family and friends.

Ladywood Room | 20 to 30 guests | Room Hire: £200

This sophisticated room is furnished with plush leather chairs, oak paneling and overlooks the surrounding parkland. The room has its private bar and direct access to the terrace and lawns.

Oak Room Restaurant | 40 to 50 guests | Room Hire: £300

Our oak paneled restaurant is an elegant room with open fires and overlooks the surrounding grounds. It has direct access to the Lounge Bar.

Charter Bar | 40 to 60 guests | Room Hire: £250

The stylish Charter Bar is a spacious area with its own direct access from the car park and private bar. It is furnished in soft greys and gold with elegant high backed chairs and has access to the conservatory.

Sutton Suite & Charter Bar | 60 to 150 guests | Room Hire: £350

The Sutton Suite (half of the Charter Suite) is a large stylish function room with direct access to the private Charter Bar. Drinks receptions can be held in the bar with food served in the Suite.

Charter Suite | up to 250 guests | Room Hire: £400

For large funeral receptions, our Charter Suite can cater for up to 250 guests. This large function room is elegantly furnished with chandeliers and soft greys, cream and gold. The Charter Suite has a private bar, direct access from the car park and is surrounded by the conservatory which overlooks the parkland. 

Reception Drinks
One of our Managers will greet you and your guests on arrival and our attentive staff will serve refreshments and stay on hand throughout the reception. A fully licensed bar is available which can be offered on a cash or account basis. Orange juice, sherry, house wine and prosecco are popular choices for reception drinks. However, alternative drinks are available - just let us know your preference.

Accommodation for Funerals

For guests who may have to travel a distance, we will be happy to arrange bedrooms at the hotel if required. Please mention this at the time of booking and we will be happy to look at rates for you.
